All Hallows Eve

A poltergeist knocked over a chair in my mind

waking me with a strange noise on a sunny day

with no clouds bringing foreboding of a night

with candles burning quiet inside carved faces

casting eery light along cold trails and walks.

Crisp leaves underfoot crackle as creepy goblins

walk in quiet search for chocolate and apples

for wispish warlocks and smiling shamans

who dance by a bright bonfire lighted to guide

weary lost searching souls traveling under

a ghostly yellow moon shadowed by a cloud

so silver faced elves can hunker safe on

All Hallows Eve.

Winter Silence

and  days go by

long from the hot summer sun.

bears are in their nest.

i need peace

from the crush of the masses

that sadden my soul.

no more noise of

endless boring chatter from

sad desolate lives.

the gears of a slow

world grind even more slowly

now that time has changed.

and profound darkness

creaks out of the coldest nights

when the moon fails to rise.

take me where the old

jazz man blows his sorrow horn

in some warm dark bar

where everyone

silently dresses in black

drinking sweet absinthe.

to where poets write quatrains

with worn out pencils behind

frosty dirty glass.

we leave at the dawn

hand in hand to the short day

where we must now rest.

fall into some bed

down soft comfort warm in love

crying gently to sleep.

Persphone

I dreamed a dream where I dreamed a dream

that I was but a shadow who disappeared into a mirror

through which Persophone awaited my arrival

tempting me with her beautiful tearful presence.

“Oh, White Knight, come with me to the underground

for to slay the dreadful Hades who I cannot love,

he who forbids needed sustenance for months

while I am away from my mother, Dementer.”

“Oh beautiful lady of the gods who rule heaven and earth,

I am but mere mortal man who carries only the power to love.

I have not the power to slay the god of the underworld

who lives in a realm humans cannot enter but with death.

I awoke from madness upon hearing the coyotes who roamed

when dawn might come to bring enlightenment to flowers,

to light beings with diamond eyes, and to us mere mortals.

I stood before the mirror to stare at my morning face,

but saw only Persophone smiling me back into my dream.

Eternal War

Earth lives in sheltered comfort

from screaming bombs

missiles from hell

brought forth from the

greedy minds of moloch

of horror creation

where all die for the

religion of hate and control.

Those who leave the shelter

walk in their heavy armor in

alien deserts with

heavy swords of death

for the idolators of moloch

their face flesh burned away

bloody eyeballs seeing their

limbless bodies

impaled on missiles and spikes

of those who worship hate and fear.

So:

kill

maim

rape

pillage

die whores of moloch—–

worship him and die

a death deserved into an

empty abyss where

no virgin whores dwell.

Suffer your sad confused

soul to wander in raged

sadness from your own

golgotha and carry your

cross for eternity

where ego lives ——–

only your wretched consciousness

of your worthless earth journey where you

learned nothing———

be reborn endless lifetimes

into karmic suffering being a filthy fly squashed for

eons until you finally learn of love.

The Road

The road is long——

The road is straight——

The road is crooked and cracked and narrow——

I say the road is hard——

Covered with nails and glass

Sustenance long lost

To hungry coyotes

Who sleep with the white goddess

In her cabin by yesterday’s forest

She does not know the roads——

She does not know the pathways——

She has no need for such adventure

Or the infinite time of dead stars

No gross struggle searching

For answers to cosmic questions

Our universe hides in dark matter

Incomprehensible to those

Lost on desolate desert highways
